Ezra is TWO!

Thursday, September 29, 2016

Today my baby is officially not a baby any more. Two years old is a full fledged toddler on his way to being a preschooler. This child and that smile make my heart go pitter patter! He makes me laugh, like really laugh. His laugh is contagious, I wish I could capture it for you all to play on repeat because I promise you it would make your day!

Two years ago I felt like I knew what I was doing when this little dude joined us, after all, I had done it before. Another little boy to love was a wonderful gift but I had no idea what was in store for me when Ezra Oliver became a member of our family. I can say today that everything I learned and am still learning with his big brother can just be thrown out the window because this kid is one of kind.

From his curly blonde hair to his dare devil personality, he's a whole new world for us. I thought I'd cherish his baby-ness a little more but he is not having it. He is tough and has a drive that will not be stopped. I hope these traits take him to great places some day. I pray that I can teach him to use his drive and passion for good and for God.

He certainly already knows how to love others and shows so much love it hurts sometimes. When he climbs out of bed in the morning he will get on the stool right next to my face and say "MAMA!" with such a happy voice that you can't help but wake up smiling. He's the best kind of alarm clock and the sweetest snuggler.

I had to put all gazillion of these photos here because each little face and movement captures his personality so well. He makes you work for a photo, that's for sure.

We love this little boy so much. God has truly blessed us well beyond what we deserve. He lights up our home and keeps us laughing! The past two years have been so so good and I can't wait to see what this next year with a 2 year old holds!

Paw Patrol party details coming soon... This boy is a pup loving man!

I love the communication and connections one simple comment on a blog can bring. Lifetime friendships are formed, grown, and flourished in this little box. So, basically the pressure is on ;)
