52 Weeks of Us | A weekly portrait series

Some of you may wonder what happened to my 365 post last year, or maybe you assumed I quit and if you did, you were right. In 2014, I made it through the entire year capturing our moments every day.I'll admit, it was hard and I always felt the pressure of getting a good photo. I couldn't possible post a less than perfect photo on my blog for everyone to see, could I? Well, yes I could and I did plenty of times throughout the year. At the beginning of last year though, I kind of felt like I should not do another one, that I should step back and felt the pull of doing a weekly project instead. i still felt the pressure thought to keep up the 365 group and I started and tried to do both actually. I wanted to do a portrait of a family member each week and I started out great, for about three weeks. I'm not sure I even made it out of January. Doing both, posting both, it proved to be just too much work for where I was then. Honestly, my heart wasn't in it. I had a three month old and had just gone back to work at the end of December. Then we started the process of selling our house and buying a new one. Hands down one of the worst experiences of my life that just would. not. end. I love our new house mostly and I miss our old house, but that's a whole other discussion for another post on another day.

Today though, I'm here to say I think I'm ready to tackle it again. I feel a sense of renewed energy this January. I feel like I really want to work on creating beautiful, unique to my style images and setting a goal of once a week seems like something I can tackle.

So, here we are with two crazy boys, in their natural state. . .

Jonah - January 2016 - Showing Mama his Ninja moves.

Ezra - 15 months old - January 2016 - playing peekaboo behind the kitchen curtain.. in his diaper.. next to the open window.

I'm excited you're trying again, you got this.
I love Ezra's little teeth popping out most of all with his big old happy grin

I love the communication and connections one simple comment on a blog can bring. Lifetime friendships are formed, grown, and flourished in this little box. So, basically the pressure is on ;)
