Bake up memories this holiday season with Betty Crocker! 24 Days of Cookies will give you great recipes for Christmas cookies you will love to share with family and friends! This Peanut Butter Blossom cookie recipe is easy and tasty! Not to mention fun!

I just looove holiday baking and it holds some special memories with my mom and sisters. We used to make all kinds of stuff from reindeer food to sausage balls to no bake cookies or whatever new thing we wanted to try that year. We still do the baking, but now with the babies it's a little harder to just hang out late night in the kitchen whipping up sweets until we make ourselves sick from licking the white chocolate off our fingers...

So, last weekend I invited my younger sister Andrea and my mom over to bake a few things so that I could share them with you. We made these pecans and decided to try the peanut butter blossom Christmas trees from the Betty website.

Ingredients

1 pouch Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon water

1 egg

tablespoons sugar

36 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Directions

  • 1. Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, oil, water and egg until dough forms.
  • 2. Shape dough into 36 (1-inch) balls; roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • 3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately press 1 milk chocolate candy in center of each cookie.
  • 4. Add sprinkles or decorations to your candy while it is warm from the cookie so that it will stick to the chocolate.
  •  5. Remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely, about 20 minutes. Store cookies in tightly covered container.

Aren't they fun? I love that with these cookie mixes we can bake up something special with the limited time we have together! And of course in the eyes of Jonah everything is better with sprinkles, so I love this fun addition to a classic recipe. Add in the coupons that they are offering right now here and here and it is a win-win-win!

  3. These are one of my favorite cookies. Unfortunately for me nobody in my family likes peanut butter but me. So when I make them I take two for myself and then I give them to a friend.
