Catch the Moment 365 | Week 18 - Behind the Camera and Dreaming

Catch the Moment 365 | Week 18

Friday, May 09, 2014

This week has flown by! It has been super busy and I must admit somewhat stressful at times. I'm so happy that it's almost the weekend (as busy as this weekend may be). I never realize until I actually put all my pictures together that the week is another big Jonah fest. I mean he IS the cutest member of our family, so I don't think anyone will complain. Also, big confession time - four of these seven photos were taken with my iphone. Technically, there are more than seven but I had to make collages for a couple because if I had to decide which to post, it'd be another day or two before I actually hit publish. If you don't regularly follow Behind the Camera and Dreaming (which you can just by hitting any of those buttons on the sidebar over there) I usually do add links to the photos that I've used in more detailed posts so look for those if you'd like to see more photos of the day.

120|365 Are you guys tired of seeing these same pajamas? He only wears them about once a week, I just seem to always let him wear them to NaNa's and wind up taking his picture in them. Just in case you are wondering they are super soft and just the right weight for a slightly cool night and made by Cat & Cow one of my best Zulily purchases of the year!

121|365 I think it's pretty obvious why I couldn't decide between the two below. Morning Squirrel watching is a favorite past time and it's awesome to see him be amazed each day at how fast they run or how high they are in the trees. I personally think squirrels are rodents and wish I could eat the pecans from my tree instead of feeding their fuzzy little bellies for winter, but what do I know? I blame MeMe and NaNa equally for the love of squirrels!

122|365 Jonah's first baseball game! We are lucky enough to have a minor league team in little ol' Pearl, Mississippi and decided to take Jonah for the first time last Friday night to help Ethan (who you can see in pink shirt/baseball cap waay down the row) celebrate his birthday.

123|365 Saturday Shenanigans as always.

124|365 Sunday we spent a good part of the day playing in the water hose in Aunt Andrea's back yard. Summer is officially here and it. is. hot. I love it, but it sure does wear a boy out!

125|365 Monday evening I needed to snap a few head shots for Wesley (for work) and my little helper - was really no help at all.

126|365 He does however LOVE to help. He's pretty good at it too. He loves yard work, which is good when you need to get things done. It takes a little patience and some stern "do. NOT. point the water hose at mommy" speeches, but that tomato plant will get lots of love from that boy.

I hope you all had a great week! I'm hoping for a slower week coming up, but I think that's just some wishful thinking. I hope all of you have a great Mother's Day on Sunday and to make a little sweeter - there is a great giveaway going on just for mom: Mother's Day Giveaway!

I hope you'll join us sharing your week in photos here are more details: Every Friday Sarah, Mindi, and I will host a place for photographers of all kinds to share, explore, grow and connect. Our common goal: one photo, every day, for three hundred and sixty five days. Whether you are using a fancy smancy professional camera, your first DSLR, a point and shoot, or your ever-so-handy phone camera, we want to see your photos! We want to see the moments you caught each day. How amazing will it be to see each of us accomplish something that seems so big? Check out the guidelines here

    1. I think that's as still as he sat for the entire game, but I'm glad I captured it!

  3. He is such a character!! I don't blame you for wanting to take so many photos of him (that would be a major case of the pot calling the kettle black anyhow!)

I love the communication and connections one simple comment on a blog can bring. Lifetime friendships are formed, grown, and flourished in this little box. So, basically the pressure is on ;)
