Royal Baby Fever - Behind the Camera and Dreaming

Royal Baby Fever

Thursday, July 25, 2013

His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge has arrived and is home with his new parents. I wasn't really on pins and needles awaiting his arrival, but I do like to be in the know when it comes to pop culture. I've heard a lot of reports that people felt the wedding was more exciting than the baby, but for us moms (especially newer moms like me) I can't help but feel like I can identify with a couple who are experiencing parenthood for the first time.

If I'm being honest it brings back a flood of my favorite memories (because we only remember the good parts right?) and gives me major baby fever.

I love that they are all dressed in blue and looking so adorable as a little family of three. One thing is for sure, this little prince will have some major style! We can already tell by that Aden and Anais Jungle Jam swaddle tucked under the sweet traditional baby blanket.

Since we haven't seen more of HRH's personal style just yet I put together a little inspiration board to celebrate that British love of queen and country and our love of Kate's sense of style!
1. Look like Kate in this Scoop Neck Pocket Dress from Target  2. Union Jack Booties from Highgrove 3. Romper 4. Pacifier
5. Aden and Anais Swaddle 4 Pack still available at Lil Sweetie Designs

Since my new sponsor Lil Sweetie Designs carries the swaddle used by Prince George she's offering 10% off EVERYTHING

Aden and Anais using the code ROYAL!

and because I have baby fever and it's #TBT I thought we'd walk done memory lane. ;)

  1. I was definitely more excited about the baby than the wedding. I was off work the day he was born and in and out of the car that afternoon, so I was listening in to the news stations to hear all about it.

This is such a beautiful picture from the day Jonah was born! I had to have a c-section after 20 hours of labor and there are no pictures of Jackson and I while we were in the hospital. :-( A big regret of mine.

  2. I didn't follow any of the royal baby news, but I totally know what you mean about baby fever. Seeing new parents with tiny little bundle will get me every time! I actually have a post about it coming up. lol.

I love the communication and connections one simple comment on a blog can bring. Lifetime friendships are formed, grown, and flourished in this little box. So, basically the pressure is on ;)
