The Last Holiday Post. Probably - Behind the Camera and Dreaming

The Last Holiday Post. Probably

Christmas night we spent some time at my parent's house. It as a nasty stormy day, so my sister's plane was a little delayed it wound up being a pretty long night. That's okay because there was plenty of fun to be had.

While we waited, we snacked and played Taboo - girls against boys - and well I bet you can guess who came out the winners.

Once Maggie and Connor arrived, we had our Christmas dinner and tore into some presents!
Andrea and Jonathan (in background) both seem a little concerned.
Jonah and I opening a dry erase/chalkboard from The McPhails
Connor and Maggie opening gifts
Emma (looks like she's eyeing one of Connor's gifts) and Benjamin
Maggie got an old shower head from our childhood bathroom - that was just now replaced - she asked for it. =)
Jonah - being spoiled by my family. He really loves the Pirate ship and the "trick riding" he's doing really shows his personality. I usually have to put down the camera in moments like that one. =)

Sunday night after Christmas, we gathered again at my parent's house for a dinner with my Dad's side of the family. We really don't see them very often, so it was really nice to catch up and mingle. We also got a very rare family photo. (We were just missing my bro in law - joey)

Left to right: Granddaddy (Steve), Connor, Wesley, Me, Jonah, NaNa (Darlene), Maggie, Benjamin, Andrea, Emma, & Jonathan.

I Love Christmas time, but I'm kind of glad we are moving on into the new year!

  1. Ah! That is a pretty good, rare, family photo! Other than Benjamin and Jonah wondering when they can get down and get into something else. Glad we did that! And yes, I think that concerned look on my face was right after Connor trampled one of Granddaddy's gifts. :)

I love the communication and connections one simple comment on a blog can bring. Lifetime friendships are formed, grown, and flourished in this little box. So, basically the pressure is on ;)
